Beautiful Snow

What a beautiful, snowy, wash my sins away, kind of day... :)

I love the snow, it makes winter feel like winter. It renews the world, gives it a freshness, a cleanliness that only God can give. Once the world is made white, it does get dirty again, but then comes spring which brings about newness and a refreshing beauty. Kind of like God and our sins. We sin, we ask for forgiveness, God wipes us clean, makes a fresh, brings beauty back into our hearts, and its a never ending process, unfortunately and thankfully. Unfortunately because we continue to sin against God time and time again. Thankfully because God continues to forgive us and help us grow.

I've been reading the chronological one year Bible on youversion and right now I'm in the giving of the laws part...the part where you want to skim because really those laws don't apply anymore, but I've been forcing myself to pay attention, to realize how unholy, unworthy, imperfect I am... In order to realize how much I do and will always need God in my life.
