Psalm Monday #11 Do you let God?

Psalm 33
The beginning of this psalm gives us a description of how we should worship God, verse three speaks to writing new songs of worship, praise, and to play those songs with skill and excellence.  Verse three is very challenging.  I like picturing God looking down on the people he has formed, seeing us use the gifts he has given us, and amazingly (to our minds) able to know the hearts of all six billion plus people.  The last verse reminds us that we have to give our lives to God in order to receive his blessings.

Psalm 34
Disclaimer: My Life in the Spirit Bible had some great commentary on this chapter, so I'm going to use it. So don't credit this all to me.
I've frequently noticed in the Bible that God's promises are conditional and this is still true with the promises in Psalm 34.  Verses 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, 15, 17, 18, and 22 all refer to promises of God. Promises of what He'll do for us like deliver us from our fears, encamp around us, supply our needs, comfort us, and other promises.  Verses 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 18, and 22 also give us the conditions of these promises.  They tell us what we need to do in order for God to fulfill His promises to us, for example, seek him, fear him, stay away from evil, and become his servant.

God won't force His way into our lives, He gives us the choice of wanting Him in our lives or not.  He promises us a lot of good things in the midst of troubles, but we have to choose to go after Him, to allow Him to work.  We wonder where God is in the hard times, but do we show Him proper fear and do we choose righteousness? Do we allow God into those hard times?
