Glori Ann Ried, a social worker, a lifeguard, a teacher, a friend, a MA. A MA is a Missionary Associate. Glori Ann has a calling from God that has turned into a passion for India, for young girls that are enslaved in sex trafficking. She is currently working three jobs to help raise part of her own support, showing great dedication and the willingness to sacrifice for the call she has heard from God.
The call she has heard from God is to work with young girls that are freed from the entrapment of the sex trafficking world for two years. These girls have been forced into a world not by their choice, and in that world forced to do things no human should ever have to do. This call would take her into India to work with Rebecca Grant and Home of Hope, helping these young girls deal with their past and give them hope for the future.
So, in order to fulfill the call, Glori Ann must reach a cash budget goal of $10, 976. This cash budget includes things like rent & utilities deposits, medical premium, moving expenses, language school, tickets to India, & a one month emergency fund.
She must also raise a monthly commitment that equals $2,226. This monthly budget pays for rent, personal expenses (food, clothes, phone, etc), medical insurance, transportation allowance, foreign tax fund, and internet access.
You may ask yourself, why so much money to live in such a poor country? The people in the country may be poor, but the prices are still very much the same compared to America. Glori Ann needs this money to fulfill the call God has placed in her life for the next two years.
Her greatest need right now is monthly commitments. Consider this, if you gave up one starbucks drink a month about $5 and pledged that $5 to Glori Ann, and if 384 other people did the same thing, Glori Ann would have all of her monthly budget for the next two years. Do you think you could that, can you give up one Starbucks drink to help a girl that has been enslaved by the sex trafficking world? Are you up to that challenge?
