God's Provision

Proverbs 28: 27a says “Whoever gives to the poor will not want” (ESV). It makes me wonder about our giving. Yes, we are giving to the poor, we have a couple of monthly commitments and we give to Speed the Light. I’m wondering if it’s possible to give too much. We both have generous hearts and we want to give, to help others, to serve God with our money, but we make so little right now. Are we being wise with money God has given us? I mean we’re not spending it on “worldly” things, but are we being wise? I know that we cannot out give God. I have testimony of that and seen many testimonies of it over the past year because of our Realife focus on generosity. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God can do far more than we can ask, think, or imagine. So maybe I’m just overthinking this or maybe I wanted to question my motives for giving or maybe I wanted to challenge you about your giving or maybe just maybe I was doubting God’s provision, but in the 5-10 minutes it took me to write this, I am reminded of how many times He has provided.
