Psalm 38
This psalm is rather depressing to read, but at the same time a reminder of how we need to wait on God. In times when we sin and are hurting, we should recognize that God is still there and hears our cries. We so...no, I so often feel that when I sin I can't ask God for help or seek Him out. David is a reminder that we can always seek God especially when, as it shows in verse eighteen, we are repentant for our sin.
Psalm 39
As the notes in my Bible say and as I think we read...this psalm continues showing how David recognizes God's chastising of him and he is still crying for God's mercy. I love how David accepts his punishment, but then asks God to have mercy on him. Verses 7-10...if you doubt me, go back and read it.
