Psalm Monday

I actually read Psalms 17 & 18 to the girls in my section this week one night at camp. I just love how it's so reassuring during life's difficulties.
(remember in order to read the passages, click on the links-chapter)

Psalm 17
Interesting to think of reminding God of all the good you are doing for Him, to remind Him about how you want to have a relationship with Him, and then ask God to protect you from your enemies because you have this relationship with Him. I'm not saying it's wrong, I am saying I would have a hard time being like God look at all this stuff I have done for you and will continue to do for, but you need to help me out or else I won't be able to have this relationship with you.

Psalm 18
What a wonderful description about how God comes to our aid. He does hear our desperate cry for help and comes to our rescue. Not just any normal rescue, but He comes in on a storm with power. "Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth," can't you just picture that?
