I'm not as exhausted this week. It might have something to do with the fact that yesterday I only spent an hour and a half with my kids because of training all morning.
Today as the students came in they painted a fish and it printed/copied onto a piece of construction paper. They were all saying, "Is that REAL fish?" Their faces were combined with shock and grossness as they painted it a thin layer on it from head to tail. I got this idea from my mentor teacher. On Monday we'll label the parts of the fish (the gills, eye, mouth, tail, and the fins).
We had our second spelling test today. We also had our first math test. The test was over Unit 1 which was a review of what they learned in first grade.
I FINALLY got my scholastic book orders all ready and sent home. As organized as I sometimes feel, so many other times I feel like I'm playing catch up just because I don't know what order/how we teach certain concepts.
I love my students. They are so much fun!
I am so glad you are enjoying your students. They are blessed to have you :)
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks. They are joyful kiddos, so it makes it enjoyable to be with them. Also, they are hilarious.
